Diagnostics

In diagnostic systems the typically required steps of sample preparation, assay protocol and corresponding detection are brought together in a miniaturized format on microfluidic platforms. For all processes the handling of small amounts of fluids is required.
Operating hand in hand with very low cost disposable cartridges, the mp6 micropump is implemented inside the cartridge reader, pulling liquid through the fluidic system. Having the pump separated form the analytes by an air volume, the pump is not contaminated, which enhances the pumps life cycle.
For further automation, the pumps are also implemented inside the cartridge for high volume applications. Here the polymeric design enables full integration at low cost.
